Gage In-Class Demo
I am a slow learner. For years I have been drawing these white gell pen lines around parts of my foreground objects because I saw the oil painter Todd Schorr do it and I liked the effect. People would ask, "Why do you put those weird white lines around some things?" because it didn't quite work. But almost. Then recently I looked closer at my subject and saw the white "halo" was on the inside of the object border. Duh. There are probably books or websites or artists who could have told me this, but I have to figure out everything for myself, and like I said, I'm a slow learner.
